On behalf of the entire Innovaker team, we are thrilled to announce the Irvine Youth Coding Club won the 1st place title for 3D Contest at ShuiMu America-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum Youth STEAM Innovation Competition last weekend.
The competition was held in iDreamSpace headerquarter in Los Angeles, CA.
The purpose of the competition is to:
- Inspire next generations with STEAM enthusiasm and innovation
- Teach critical STEAM knowledge and skills
- Nurture artistic and creative talents
- Promote excellent teamwork and workmanship
- Develop effective communication and presentation skills
- Prepare next generations to survive and thrive in the challenging world
The theme of the competition is “Explore Mars, Build the Future”. It includes 3D Design and Printing contest on Sep. 30 and Intelligent Robotic contest on Oct. 1.
The topic of the 3D contest is “Design a Mars living community”, which includes tasks of “Create basic models and use them to build a full functional community with main life supporting facility”. Each team was required to use TinkerCad to build their design and present live to explain the design concept and functions.
A month ago, this team didn’t know much about how to create 3D design on computer. Then, they came to Innovaker and purchased our TinkerCad curriculum. We are honored to have the opportunity to support such a talented team and witness the big progress that they’ve achieved within very short amount of time. It also builds another level of confidence for Innovaker to continuously develop great STEAM curriculums that can benefit more students within our community!
